Thick layers at 0.15 and Cura Extrusion

Hello guys,

I recently got my K8200 And put it together.
At the first print i started to see that overtime the Z axis skips and came up red in the software.
Now I have fixed that and it doesn’t wobble or gave a red error in the software.

These are the prints that i made but I am not happy because these are printed on 0.15 layer hight.

Also a question about the Cura Software.
Now i use Slic3r and want to use Cure because i read good things about the software.
But when i Download it the settings are for the ultimaker, Does that matter? Or do i need to upload other settings or something?
Also when I slice in Cura the extrusion is to much but can’t find a setting where you can manual control that.

Thanks:
Lucas

Seems to me that the the filament temperature is too high.
Thinner layer means also less filament.

Cura gives me very good results.
But I’m upgrading soon to 0.9° stepper motors and a treadles Z axis and a controller card that offers 1/32th microstepping and auto leveling heat bed.

Well it doesn’t really align the heat bed, but measures at 4 or 5 points the height so during print the Z motor works continuously to fix a not so aligned bed.
This needs a flat surface (glass plate) cause the pcb can be deformed on many ways.
