Dear Forum, I hope my english isn`t that much bad.
I have a Problem with the second nozzle. I load the Firmware for two nozzles and load it to the EEPROM.
Now there is the Problem, that i cant load the Filament at the second Extruder and the second Extruder doesnt work.
When i use the menupoint “move axis” there is axis x, y, z and the Extruder 1, but there is no Extruder 2.
I load different firmewares (old and new) but it doesnt work, but the Firmware for two nozzles is shown on the Display. Also i testet the steppermotor ---> it works. The Chip which generate the steps also works. Its a Problem with the Firmware or the loading to the eeprom i think. Does somebody having an idea?
I apologise if I’m asking the obvious but I assume you followed the firmware instllation instructions http://manuals.velleman.eu/article.php?id=31, including ‘Programming Shunt’ and ‘Reload EEPROM Settings’?
It’s just that it sounds like the new FW wasn’t loaded
raby:
The 2nd Extruder is displayed on the LCD (Temperatur) and if i use the “load Filament” command the nozzle heated up to 210°C and then the Extruder doesn`t work.
The Extruder 1 is shown in the move axis command, also if there are no 170°C on the nozzle.
pinthenet:
I follow the Firmware Installation instruction and if i checked the version of the installed Firmware on the Display, it always was the correct version. (loaded v1.1 and v1.4 several times).
I think the Problem is the “reload eeprom Settings”. Do i have to remove the shunt when i reload EEPROM Settings? Or should the shunt stay plugged for the “reload EEprom”?
Do i have to remove the shunt when i reload EEPROM Settings? Or should the shunt stay plugged for the “reload EEprom”?
It doesn’t matter actually (I always let it plugged in so I don’t forget to put it when needed).
Try to redo the “Load failsafe”/“Save memory” sequence when the printer is on (plugged to the mains).
The driver was plugged wrong :/. And then i wanted to try to load the newest firmware, but before i could start the LCD Display stopped working :/…still the blue backlight shines.
The LCD-Display gets 4,1V is this too little for the 5V LCD? I hope my mainboard is still ok
Since you have the display out of the machine.
Plug the SD card PCB into the LCD without the stand offs (watch to make sure the boards don’t short) and try it on the outside of the machine.
Maybe the stand offs are to long.
I tried too order a new one, but the there is no reaction from the german Distributor vs-electronics on my mails.
You can open a ticket on the Velleman site : http://support.velleman.eu/.
