The filament thread breaks

Hi! I’m a total beginner at this whit 3D printing.
I bought a k8400 and the PLA thread breaks often there the extruder are, some printings goes well but often the thread will breaks. The extruder making some ticking noise sometime. I use the vertex 3D repetier host

When i did the vertex logo it works but when i tried to do a dji phantom lins the thread broke

Can someone help me. It’s really annoying not to make some prints

Sorry for my bad english / erik

Usually filament break when it’s too cold (puit your printer in a warm place). Or if the quality is bad.

What brand do you use.

If the extruder is ticking it means the flow is too high. To print with PLA use 190° and 75% flow. Also modify the retraction to 3-4 mm and 140 mm/s.

okey thanks I will try that  i think it is the velleman filament.

okey and all that do i change in the vertex 3D repeater host? i think the basic are 210° and 100% the other I don’t know? I will look it up and came back to you whit the result when I have try it out

thanks again  / Erik
