Sugestion for the nozzle assembly

Have anyone seen this before? It is a upgrade that a Swedish guy like myself  have come up with for the ultimaker 2 printer.

Wouldnt it be possible to redesign the nozzle tip and the heater block to support the basic consept of this. By making it that the heater block can be screwed on the isolator and the nozzle can be screwed on the heater block. As such make it possible to hand change the nozzle tip very simply for nozzle size changes and replacements without having to take apart the heater block as often.

I’ve looked at it a few times by now… Ive never used anything else but the velleman’s stock head’s. I assume you need some short PEEK isolator guard made for Ultimakers. But i’d like to see more about this. Hadn’t really felt the need for swapping out Bigger/smaller nozzle sizes (printing decent is hard enough with the 0.35 :p)

BTW. that site looks mad to me

Kind regards!

Well the idea was not to use the block there but a suggestion for velleman as a mod kit for the future or a amendment to their design making it possible to replace the nozzle for dif sizes wish that block does in a very simple way.

The advantage by being able to change the nozzle is print speed in some cases but also flexability in many ways in term of print resolution and other things.

The peek isolator we have today should be possible to stil use. what would be required is a new block and a new nozzle set. In theory it would be enouph to just make a heater block that can be screwed on the peek isolator and use the E6D nozzle set to be screwed on the heaterblock.
