Hello there,
First of all I am a very happy owner of this printer and have been printing many hours now. The main thing is that the printer, or more in depth the stepper motors make a lot of noise. After browsing this forum for a while now I found out this is caused by the stepper motor drivers.
Now I was wondering how much work/effort or how complicated it would be to change out the older DRV8825 boards and replace them with TMC2100 for example. Can I simply remove the old driver boards and plug in the new ones?
My plan is to buy the driver boards pre assembled (as I am not much of a soldering hero myself, for example from this Dutch vendor: https://www.123-3d.nl/3D-printer-onderdelen/Elektronica/Stappenmotor-aansturing-p332.html)
