I’ve got the stock Marlin V1 firmware. I haven’t done any changes to my printer. Should I upgrade the firmware to V2.1.1 anyways? Do I get any advantages/disadvantages by upgrading the firmware?
If you have a stock K8200 you don’t want to upgrade to V2.1.1 unless you have the K8204 installed.
Chance are that you have version 2 even though the machine reports V1.
V1 monitored the end stops while printing and if one got hit it would cause a shift in the print.
This was back in 2013 Velleman has since then started loading V2.
