I am new to building the Vellman k8200. I am calibrating the stepper motors. I can calibrate three to the correct voltage of 0.425v. However the second one down on the board goes from 0.0003mV to approc 5V with no range in between as I turn the adjuster. Once it gets to 5V i have a lot of ‘turn’ left in the adjuster.
I tried unplugging the power supply. All other stepper motors still measure 0.425V but the second one down still shows 5V, reducing to 0V at the end of the range?
oups, I’m sorry for you but it seems that the driver is dead
You can send it back to Velleman, they will change it I guess.
Also, I suggest you to get 0,55V on the drivers, this avoid X/Y bad traveling
Good luck
I am struggling about the same problem.
Before I started calibration. I read from all of the drivers about 0.8 0.9 Volts.
Than I stared calibration, at first I guess I did not use proper screwdriver but I managed to turn the calibrating screw than I read about 2 volts than I tried many times and unfortunately I can only read 1.5v for minimum value.
I can not get lower than 1.5Volts. And sometimes I read 0.005 volts.
I did calibration for 2 drivers to 0.456 volts and 0.465 volts but for the others I couldn’t do.
Do you thing that the drivers are dead? How can I understand that?
I have used metal screw driver. I did operation carefully but I may touch the pcb just around the calibrating screw.
Do you thing that I did something wrong to whole controller board?
How can I check the health of all the electronics?
