I have a problem at stp “16. Mounting the printhead”
I can’t Slide the 298mm Ø8mm ROD through the Ø8mm TOP TUBE BEARING. but I can slide it in the e Ø8mm BOTTOM TUBE BEARING.
I tryed with the other ROD, I have the same problem.
it seem the “top tube bearing” is to small the top do 7.74mm the bottom do 7.92 (I suppose the measure isn’t just, But I measure many time and I have same difference).
the ROD is arroud 7.99.
I make a error, or I have a problem with the TOP TUBE BEARING ?

You have a problem the bore is too small.
Ask Velleman or your reseller for new ones or try to drill with 8mm but if you have the tools
for braoching would be more accurate.
One side of the bottom tube bearing only has a diameter of 7.76mm while the other has ~7.92mm. I can slide in the rod from one side, but it does not fit through the hole on the other side.
In addition I also experienced a small problem with the 289mm Ø8mm ROD. Strangely, I can push all other 8mm rods easily through the bottom tube bearing (despite the fact that the bottom tube bearing has different diameters per hole).
As sanity check I try to push the 289mm rod through any of the pulleys. I realised that the pulleys get stuck at the 289mm rod, whereas I can slide them easily over the other 8mm rods.
Yesterday I contacted Velleman Support via support.velleman.eu. I am currently waiting for their reply.
Edit1: Velleman Support replied and will send a replacement for the bearing. Thanks to Velleman. I will write an update if the new bearing solved the problem or if it was a combination between the bearing and the 289mm rod.
