Space between lines in walls

I see small space between lines ( <0.1mm) in walls.
I print with ABS at 210°, 72% flow, and low speed.

I have seen a topic about that, which advise to tighten the belts. (from Tim Van Bael on Tue Jun 23, 2015 )

i think it is difficult to tighten the belts more because :

  1. the belt clamps are at maximum. the belt clamps are not so effective because when you tighten one clamp, you press the belt on all the surface of the clamp, whereas the clamps must tighten in his center only , ( little triangle).
  2. the X belts are not so tight than the Y belts, I think it 's because they are longer than the Y belts . I have tried to change one belt with a new one : it’s worse.
  3. the X motor can’t be stretched more because of :
    - a lack of space for the fixing screws due of the proximity of an horizontal square under the motor,
    - it is difficult to push the motor down for stretching the motor belt and at the same time to tighten the screw
    - if these motor belts are too tighten, the motor “grunt” (?), make noises.

thanks for your replies.

I wouldn’t tighten up your belts too much, you get skipping and layer shifting if you do.

Have you a photo so we can see a bit better what’s going on?

Hi,

I agree with you, about the belts.

But i solved my problem : i put in cura setting filament flow at 75 % to have really 100 mm extruded, instead of 135mm, and i forgot that in manual control the flow was also set to 75…

It was a lack of material for the lines and layers.

thanks for your reply.
