SOLVED: PCSGU250 function generator accuracy?

I am new to this device so I am trying to learn it. Here’s what I did.

Function Generator
square wave
0.1 Hz
0 offset
6v p-p

Oscilliscope
500ms time/div
1v v/div
1X on probe

What I see on the 'scope is that the p-p voltage is 6.5V p-p. So I put my DVM on the Function Generator and got -3.11V to 3.47V or 6.58V p-p.

So how do I calibrate the Function Generator?

Are you using the latest software Rev 1.12?
If not, you can download it from: velleman.eu/support/download … U250&type=

There is also fine tune option for the function generator amplitude.
In the menu bar select the Options -> Fine Tune (located next to ‘Function Generator:’).

Thanks! Both, update and option, helped improve accuracy to an acceptable level.
