i printed out the vellman keychain with great sucess, but i noticed, that the big top fan is not spinning and also the little fan infront of the nozzle also.
Is this normal? I checked the “Enable Cooling” in Repetier and also under the slicer>configuration>print>extrusion under Cooling the fan full height at 0 min speed 0 and checked the “cool head lift”
On manual controll in repetier the Fan speed is set to full 100.
No it’s not normal. Don’t print that way or you’ll get your PEEK tube melting down. Check in the G-code of your object if there is a M106 Sxx command (turns on the fan). Also check the fan speeds in the Filament tab (Cura settings).
Cura settings “Cooling” min and max both 100% min layer time 10s
G-Code has on line 5: M106 S165
But fan stays off…
Is there a possibility to force the fan to spin? Like a direct command to the printer, that starts the fans?
I mean the settings are all right, as i can see, what could be the problem here?

If it still doesn’t spin then the connection between fan and controller board must be broken.
It’s almost certain to the be the wiring near the print head - it’s quite easy to dislodge those wires and quite difficult to ensure you’ve tightened them enough without risking stripping the threads on the connector.
I feel a little bit stupid right now, but i’m happy that i can say it is solved ^^
Solution: Polarity was wrong. Red and Black Cable was connected wrong…
