Hi, I have problem sending mail because of fake sender address.
Here is SMTP conversation:
235 #2.0.0 OK Authenticated
MAIL FROM:vm201@no-reply.com
553 #5.1.8 Domain of sender address vm201@no-reply.com does not exist
QUIT
Is it possible to replace "vm201@no-reply.com" with real address by my choice?
As you can see, my smtp server blocks fake sender address.
Thanks!
Things are not perfect in this world. However Velleman did great work so far and as I explained earlier, the more you put intelligence in outer systems, the more those systems will/has to work as independent entities but to keep more or less everything in sync i.e. is the baby still working as expected etc., appropriate comms must be available or being set up to insurance this fragile state of equilibrium, otherwise you loose sight of what happens beyond the wall.
I recon that perhaps, sometimes or certainly good and complete documentation is missing.
As I keep the VM201 activities/data etc. outside the card config the ERP I use can dispatch mails to whom it may concern.
I use Java to do this because my ERP supports pure internet architecture. Let me know if this make sense to you, I will be glad to share a good java example to send off mails.
