Small fan 25mmx25mm

Hello,

what is the role of the small fan in front of the K8400 printer head (25mm x 25mm)? I never see it spinning, is there a setting to activate it?

That fan adds to the airflow from the main fan, but it’s main purpose is to cool the PEEK isolator. On my printer it runs with the main fan, at the same % speed.
