Sketchup and Vertex

Hello everyone.

I was just wondering which file my Google SketchUp models have to be in to create them on the Vertex 8400. I’m using the latest version of SketchUp to make the models. Thanks in advance.

Hello!

U have to save your files in .STL format to open them in repetier-host.
In repetier-host you can convert the object to G-code.

There isn’t an .STL format available, and yet the instructions say that I can use SketchUp for my designs.

It looks like you would need to install an extension for that… such as:

extensions.sketchup.com/content/sketchup-stl

there are many

Install in the extension warehouse a STL export plugin

How do I install the .STL stuff?

Move the file “sketchup-stl-2.1.4.rbz” in the “C:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015” folder. That’s it!

Thank you everyone. I was able to do it inside Google Sketchup itself.
