Setgen command waits for startgen command

I have the following problem controlling the PCGU1000 generator via the fgulink.dll. When I set a frequency, start the generator and then stop the generator with the stopgen command and then set a NEW frequency with the setgen command the generator waits for the startgen command before changing the frequency. After initiating the startgen command the generator still uses the OLD frequency for only .5 sec and then changes to the NEW frequency. So it seems that the generator software is not capable to change the frequency when the generator is not running. Could you correct this problem, for my use it is essential to change the frequency when the generator is not running and when it start it must start on the set frequency immediately.

Now the problem is fixed. The generator doesn’t output any signal when its settings are changed. You can test this feature with the 1kHz and 2kHz buttons in the updated demo program included to the download package.

This modification concerns the PCGU1000 “hardware”.

  • The FPGA setup file FGU1000.BIT is modified.
  • The generator output is now blocked when its settings are changed.

This is good modification. - When tested, this will be put to the “official” release version of the FGULINK too.

Thanks for your quick reply, it works OK now. Its a big improvement.
