Set up problem

I am puzzled.

I sent my controller board on service after discovering that the x-carage was malfunctioning. It went in one direction, but not the other. Also the temperature reading in the printer head worked fine at first, but then got stuck at 143 Celsius. I know theirs nothing wrong in the x-motor sins i tried it in another motor plug.

After sending the dam board on service I ended up getting a brand new one. Herse I am puzzled, the x-carage has exactly the same problem again and the heat reading on the printer head is still stuck at 143 Celcius. I’v even changed the terminator in the printer head, but the problem still remains.

Pleace help

So it is clear that the board is not at the cause of troubles.
Most likely there is a wiring problem. Check end-stops and extruder NTC wiring.

Hi Harald

I have had the same problem with X , I found my problem was with a bad contact on the board legs.
Try cleaning the legs with Servisol. Best method is to wear latex gloves spray onto first finger and thumb.
Whilst wet rub the legs with forefinger and thumb. Replace the board with a little up / down jigling to establish better connections .

Good Luck

Peter

Thank you:)

I´ll try it when i get home from the holyday.

But the problem with the termistor would still remain thou.

Unplug therm 1 and check the resistance.
At room temp should be around 100k ohms.
From your description it sounds as if you have a short.

I tested the terminators before I went on holiday. They worked fine by then according to the multimeter. But I noticed that the insulation around the terminator and wiring had disintegrated do to the heat  so that may be a problem.

I’ll test clean the legs in the x-drive when i get home.

YEEYY
The X-drive is finally working. But the head temperature is still stuck at 143,60 deg C

Unplug therm 1 and see if it goes to 0C
If it does go to 0C then you have a short in the wiring.
If not the control board may have an issue.
