Second extruder/hot end issue

Hi everybody,

I’m new to this forum, found extremely usefull but not the world of cnc machines, having a cnc router, laser cutter and a 3d DLP printer.

I’ve been testing my K8400 with dual extruder since Xmas, i’m really satisfied with quality print. I’ve used both Velleman and other brand PLa and ABS.

Obviously i’ve started my tests printing with only one extruder, only PLA 1.75mm using default settings ( E_step still at 200 on the EEprom settings, i’ve set the flow at 75-70%). Everything is ok.

Now i’m trying to test the second extruder too. Althought i successfully printed some items ( PLA body and ABS supports where needed), my issue is that the hot end reach the set temp (245°) only if i manually pre-heat : while printing, temperature never exceed 230, reaching it with effort.

This involves that sometimes the extruder cannot push the filament to the hot end.

I’ve tried:

using new extruder body found on thingiverse ( i read somewhere that the minor effort due to the staight route of the filament let you to have more power while pushing it through the PTFE tube, but i think that this reduces the contact surface between the pulley and the bearing, involving some skidding);
tested the termistors disconnected from the board and found for both hotend a resistance of 96 kOhm at 20°, 133 at 15° in my garage);
tested the heater ( found resistance 8 Kohm both);

Any idea?

Thank for your help
