Rotate Cooling fan for nozzle

Hello my first post on this forum

Is it possible to rotate the cooling fan on top of the nozzle 180 degrees without losing too much cooling effect

Have mounted a second nozzle and are looking to build my own direct drive
and there is not much room to spare as the fan is now

I would think if you changed it 180 degrees it would get in the way of the plug for the print head(s)

It will be tight but i think it will fit

You should check it out before you glue it.

Do you think i loose cooling effect?

I wouldn’t think so but I don’t know.
I built mine according to the instructions to avoid any problems and made sure it operated properly.
Then I made my changes.
You could tape the fan in place as a test.
Just remember the print moves around a lot so you don’t want it coming off mid print.
You said you wanted build your own direct drive system.
Are thinking of mounting the motors on the print head?
This would cause a world of problems.
