Rookie to soldering projects. help with MK171

Hey everyone,

I have the MK171 and like I said, I am a rookie to this kind of stuff. I can solder but if you through a diagram of the circuit board I would be lost. What I am trying the figure out is how to extend the mic away from the board (I know, very common question).

I know that the mic is a electret microcel so it needs power, but I just need guidance on what wiring I should get to extend it from the board or what mic to buy to tear apart so I can attach it to the board. Ideally, I would like to put a female audio jack on the board so I can hook up a prefabricated mic from my local electronic store. If you able to link a part or parts that would work that would be great

Thanks,

Dave

Dear sir,

You can extend the distance by mounting the MIC with a shielded audio cable. Due to the low output level,
the max distance must be around 1m.
