Replacement compatible board

Is this

store.open-electronics.org/inde … controller

A direct drop in replacement for the board as supplied by Velleman for the K8200? I think mine’s fried and the cheapest official one I can find is around £140…

Thanks.

Colin.

You mean this one?
store.open-electronics.org/inde … ler_driver

This IS the board that ships with a K8200
In fact, all what this site IS what Velleman sells or at least very decent clones.

Ah - I meant this one:

store.open-electronics.org/inde … controller

I assume this one is the same but without the stepper motors which I don’t think I have a problem with.

Thanks.

Yes, this is what is shipped with the K8200 and indeed, without stepper controllers.

Great - thanks for replying.

Colin.

A good alternative is a Ramps 1.4 board with Arduino Mega.
For about 20 euro at AliExpress. Or at 123-3d.nl when you want to have it quick.

It takes some rewiring and firmware modifications, but it works very well.

Just to wrap this up, I can confirm my symptoms have been resolved by replacing the board with the one I linked to above. I bought a ‘bare’ one, moved the stepper controllers across to it, reconnected everything and all is good.

Bought the board online on Friday from the company in Italy and it arrived with me in the UK on Tuesday. That’s pretty good service I think.

Thanks for your help above.

Wish I had seen this thread 2 days ago.

I had a defective board, and bought a new original one for 140 euros… :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh well, if the old board cannot be repaired, I’ll keep this in mind.
