So I finally installed my ramps 1.4 I wired everything up and everything seems to be working but the y axis it won’t move. I have checked the wiring and everything seems ok. Is there a way to test the stepper motor driver to see if it is faulty? or are they any other thing I should try first. Thanks guys
I’m not that familliar with the ramps, but to check the drivers simply swap them with a on known good.
X and Y for example. If the problem moves with the suspect driver it is faulty or incorrectly tuned.

When I turn on the machine and the first time i try to move it it moves about 1 mm and then won’t move anymore. I have triple checked the wiring all good there. I am just stumped!
Did you try it in the opposite direction?
Maybe you wired the endstop incorrectly.

Does it move away from the end stop or to it?
Does it move away from the end stop or to it?
No neither. When you first start the machine up and ask it to move it nudges .01mm then won’t move anymore…
Any endstop hit or such messages in the log?
