R1 resistor gets hot on printhead assembly

Hi guys,

Did someone also noticed that the resistor R1 on the printhead assembly gets really hot while printing?
The resistor is located on the left rear.
I have 2 extruders mounted.

In my understanding, that resistor functions as a fuse. I already burned one and had to replace that board and it gets really hot.
I’m no electronics expert but from what I’ve read here that resistor is “supposed” to get hot because it’s at it’s resistance limits.

This resistor is used to drop the voltage to the fans from 15V to 12V.

Based on what Raby said.
Have you checked the fans?
Are they turning?

Hi I have the same problem I think, if anyone can show me where quesa images that resistance?, I installed 2 extruder and the first of nowhere, I rise temperature

Alexdeuno,

This sounds like a wiring error.
Make sure the thermistor is wired into the middle green connectors

this ist my problem

What voltages are you measuring on in your video? It’s rather hard to see.
