Problems with K8400 - X-position after firmware update and readjust during printing

Hi All,

I’m a newbie in in 3d printing and have recently bought a K8400.

The machine has 2 issues:

  1. During printing the x axis skip a part, because of this the prints fail and do not line up.
    I’ve oiled the x and y, but did didn’t solve this
    The belts are not worn out.

  2. I’ve updated the firmware to hopefully resolve the first problem.
    This made things worse, when I want to use the restore fail option for Eeprom reset, it doesn’t have any history.
    With the result the printer doesn’t remember it’s home position.

I hope someone can help me out

I don’t know if this would help, but I would try to re calibrate it. This should at least help

I solved both issues:

1: I’ve created more tension on one belt with 2 ty wraps. This works
2: Placed the printhead back to it’s homeposition with a little bit of force, did worked as well
