Problems setting up a VM110N

Please excuse me as I am a complete beginner at this. Here are simple questions. When I put the K8055 into the system folder in my PC it wouldn’t run it had problems with the dll suffix.

Second issue, I want to set up a test rig using thermocouples and a number of switches and maybe a thermal controller. I thought that this board would do this. I dont know how best to handle the software side. I have a demo version of DASY lab that looks the simplest system, I still struggle with it though and have not yet got the card talking to the software yet - Any ideas? Is there a better option, will the VM110N work with this software?

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks for that. i had put it into the wrong folder. I found the SysWOW64 and put it there but when I click on it it still comes up with an error complaining about the dll extension. I am doing this wrongly? (Again!)

Please see this thread for a solution:

What do you expect to happen when you “click on” a DLL?

A DLL (dynamic link library) is a set of functions, to be used by another program. The DLL itself isn’t supposed to do anything on its own.
