Problems Repetier and heating up

Hello,

So I builded the vertex k8400 over de last 2 weeks. And I am finally at a point where I everything is in the right place etc. I first had some problems with the end stops, but that is all fixed.
Today I bought some filament and was ready to load it. But my nozzle won’t heat up. The temperature even goes down because of the fan.
I’ve got no idea where the problem is. If I try to use Repetier to heat up, the printer just ignores the command.

The other problem I got with repetier is that I can preform the home command while in the program. But when I try to move the head somewhere else, also nothing happens.

I really hope you can help me, because I’m eager to print.

What does it say on the LCD?
Anything about Min Temp or Max Temp
If either of these check the wiring to the thermisitor
If the LED on the print head is turning on check the wiring to the heater.
If you are using just one print head you will need to change the firmware.
You find instruction in this link.

So yeah…

It all came down to the older firmware.
I couldn’t find my shunt, so I thought I should be able to print something. But I thought wrong…
Then I luckily found it! And I was able to print the keychain, but it is stuck to the buildtak…

Have you tried canned air?
Turn the can upside down so it freezes the project.
You can use a putty knife but use caution so you don’t mess up the Buildtak.
You may want to consider setting the print head a little father from the bed.
I think I used 5 pieces of paper instead of 4 that the instructions say.
