Problems printing ABS

Hello. I bought a kg of ABS at my Velleman local supplier and didnt manage to print anything,. I tried everything possible… tape and mirror, dry hair spray, pritt glue… everything… the ABS wont stick to the bed…

I had a look online and it says that apart from the extruser having to be at ±280 temp the heat bed also has to be at 110. Apparently the heat bed will only go up to 60 max… even after i define the max to 120 in the config…

My question is… do i need a higher voltage power adapter? and if yes… why would Velleman local supplier not accept a return the material if i couldnt use it with a 15V supply and a defective bed that doesnt heat up enough…that i bought as for the original k8200 printer… i specifically asked the supplier if the abs filament was for that printer… if it is and i cant get it to stick to the bed because of bed temperature… it seems defective…

i am expecting someone from Velleman to please reply. thanks

The bed is not defective, it’s the power supply that is limited.
I use a 24V power supply and get the heatbed (with glass) up to 100 degrees max, this takes about 20 minutes.
But still then, the ABS keeps warping.

Try Hairspray or glue stick on the heatbed when printing abs.
Heat the bed to 90°C or above.
This does the trick for me most times.
