Problem with x and y axis

Hey guys
i got a small problem with my printer i bought used and all mods like double z axis, printed motor holders.
so when i calibrate everything it runs fine i calibrate it with a 40mm cube after i measered everything over 100mm.

So when i start a longer print it isnt the right size its like 0.3 -1.0mm to short sometimes more sometimes less
i got all my motor set at 0.425v and calibratet everything like 100 times and got the same problem again and again.

I just readed something about setting the steppers up to 0.55v im gonna try that on saturday that migth work

do u guys have any other solution i would like to get prints that fit on the measurment :frowning:
hope u all can help me

Exact fit to the designed measurements is impossible with ANY FDM printer,
but you can get pretty close by tuning the mechanics.

Setting the steppers to 0.55v is a good idea, it prevents losing steps.
Also make sure your axes are running really smooth and the belts have the right tension. (not too tight, but also not loose)
Check if the pulleys are tight on the motor axes and that the idler pulleys turn free.
If all that is good, you should get pretty close to what you want.

Okay
But I should Atleast be able to get the Same measurment AT everything printer and Not each print bigger or Smaller?
Or Do I See it wrong ?

Nope. That is correct.
If the measurements differ noticably from print to print there is something wrong with the mechanics
or the motors loose (skip) steps.

I had similar issues at first and then upgraded the belt drives to GT2 2mm belt and GT2 16 teeth motor pulleys.
That gives the X/Y dirve more force and more precision, because the pulleys are lots smaller compared to the stock ones.
Also the belt runs more precise, because of the finer teeth.

Just into the blue :
Did you check your X/Y pulleys to have concentric bores?
Many users had issues with bad machined pulleys. (me included)
