A few days ago I bought the subwooferkit K8077 and assembled it carefully. After assembling I tested the unit. The first test (without the ICs) looked OK, except may be for the R33 measurement which showed 34V (is this too high?).
After mounting the ICs, the voltage at J2 and J3 dropped by about 10V (instead of about 15V, I measured only between 4 to 5V). On the other hand R33 now dropped to 24V, which is as specified.
Are these changes in measured values normal or is there something wrong?
The assembly was OK; in the end I found that IC1 was defective. After replacing it, I got the right values at J2 and J3. However, the R33 measurement now remains on 34V (while before it dropped to 24V after inserting the ICs) ? The instruction mentions +24 V or slightly higher. What is understood under “slightly higher”: is 10V higher acceptable or too much? If it’s too high, what could be the cause of it?
