Problem with mp3 player K8095

I’ve got a problem with my mp3 player. When i put it on without installed the mp3 decoder, there is no problem.
But… When i install the mp3 decoder, the regulators get overload en will burn up…
Each component is installed on the right way! The lcd led still does his job…( i use this player without dislplay)
Who can help me ??

The power supply is short circuited if the MP3 decoder is installed in wrong position.
In this picture you’ll see the right position:

I’ve installed the decoder like you showed on the picture.
All resistors, capacitors, regulators, ic’s etc… are installed correctly.
I messure 3,317 volt out of the lm317 and 5 volt out of the 8705.
Can i fix the problem when i replace these regulators ?
I guess there was an intern overload-security in them but i’m not sure.
Kind regards,
Wout
I messure 3,317 volt out of the lm317 and 5 volt out of the 8705.
The voltages are OK.
Most probably the regulators are not damaged.
There seems to be a short circuit on the MP3 decoder board.

You can return the whole kit to Velleman for check and repair.
