Printing stops randoml

Hello,
I have ver irritating problem. Everything OK otherwise but during Xmas time large prints started to stop. Printer just stops moving and heating stay on an continuing is not possible. Yesterday my 10+ hours print job halted at 6 hour time - this will grow horns to my head!
USB cable is new and good, I use laboratory power source which is capable to 10A max. I even provided extra table cooling fan to keep main board cool. Step motor boards have heatsinks. This phenomenom is quite random it can occur between 40min to max 6 hours so far. Any ideas what to do? On Repetier there is now error statements - it just halts and stops.
Small jobs are quite normal in general less than 1 hour jobs will work?
Rgs, Kalle

Check the 15v screw terminal for bad solder joints an stable ground connection.
Switching lighting tubes or heavy consumers in the same live circuit could also be a reason.

Hello,
I read that long topic which you helped one user. Believe me this happens mostly when I go to my workshop and switch lights on. Six tubes on three lamps. This can be really one reason. I have kept lights on today and it works well - so far…
Tomorrow I will buy new tubes and their “igniters”. Very funny indeed if light tubes are the case, I used lathe and mill yesterday with no problems. Two times freezing occured just when I went to my workshop and put lights on.
Rgs and thx, Kalle

Flourescent tubes generate heavy voltage spikes and high frequency noise when ignited.
This can easily affect any electronics connected to the same circuit.
A net filter between printer and wall outlet might help a bit.

I’ve replaced my fluorescent tubes with LED ones. No more spikes…

I would do that also, but here at work i can’t…

Vielen Danke ichbinsnur!

now it works well. Yesterday I made 10.5 hour print which worked perfectly. I kept lights on all the time.
Today I bought new tubes and electronic igniters as well as filtered cable with five shielded sockets for computer use. Old light tubes were at least 20 years old. Now even lightning conditions are better…

Thanks, Kalle

Nice to hear it works now.
Happy printing!

p.s. let us know if the exchange of the tubes/igniter and power socket helped.

cheers,
