Printing small objects

Hi.

I am new here and to 3D printing.
I have with success made the velleman cover… no problem.

When I want to print a small objects (1x2cm) my problem is that it is all melting because the next layer starts before the last has cool down.
Is there a way to pause between layers? or what to do in this situation?

I want to print this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:43871
But is it simply too small for the K8200?

Advice needed.

Thanks and merry Christmas

Hi jangermann,

usually the auto-cooling function takes care of those issues by switching on the fan and, if necessary, reducing the print speed.

For very small parts that still may not be enough, so you just might have to print those small objects together with some other object in order to achieve longer print times per layer.

Cheers,
