in some cases my printer restart during a print and then the print is over.
i thought that the motordriver or the motherboard processors getting to hot. so i use a heat sink vor every motor driver an the main board processor and installed a big fan (seperate powersource). But during some prints the printer restarts again.
My PArameters are: I print from sd card and i lower the print speed in most cases to 85% to protect the mechanic parts of the printer.
It seems to mee that the restarts happen during very large and complex prints
You might want to look at the reset button (maybe unplug it and retry the print)
Also look at the reset button on the LCD screen make sure it’s not rubbing on the case.
Is there any noisy electrical gear connected to the same wall outlet of your PC or printer?
Did you switch Lights or heavy electrical consumers when it happened?
Did you pull out or plug in any USB device?
I had a similar issue. In my case it was the cable coming out of the hotend heat element.
Due hotend vibrations the isolation tube was moved top wards and the hotend edge cuts a
little section to this cables and made a shortcut!
Check the hotend for proper isolation.
Hope this helps…
On my K8200 i recently had the same issue, caused by a bad ground connection on the 15V power input.
There was a bad solder joint at the screw terminal that loosened when it got warm,
causing the printer to reset during print.
While not printing it showed all kinds of strange behavior, like bouncing temp redings on both heaters,
lost connection, axis mismovement …
It seems the cause was the controller tried to pull it’s ground for the input power over the only one left
ground connection : the USB PORT!
All cured by resoldering the bad joint.
i checked all reset buttons and the insulation of the cables at the extruder. but every thing is fine. so one point the static electricity is maybe the key. Because if i remember the resart never happend if the printer prints alone for hours. Only if i was inside the room the restart happens.
