Congrats,
sometimes the obviously things we oversee
As a few members say, the printer is great, when running.
Had to swap a few parts myself, provided by bellman, so I know how frustrating it is, not to get it run…
I made some mods to the printer and at the moment I print PVA and FlexiSmart with success…
Now I kind of feel like an idiot.
Normally check the output voltage of the power supply is one of the first things I suggest but failed to do it this time.
Most people seem to be put off when I bring it up.
I also forgot there is an adjustment for the power supply on the K8400.
Odd as the main reset I have unplugged to eliminate it from being the problem
This still leaves the reset on the LCD than can be pressed by the acrylic panel. Did you check if it’s perfectly free in it’s hole?
mains is correctly grounded, and tested, brand new house, electrics are all new and certificated, checked them again incas and checked grounding continuity to PSU from plug, all fine
Couple more thoughts.
Have you tried to reload the firmware?
Have you made sure the pins for the LCD display are not loose?
Also I know you don’t want to print with a computer.
However the larger SD cards have been known to have issues with the Raspberry Pi.
I am wondering it either the pins that touch the SD card have a problem or if they are disconnecting from the vibration from the printer.
Printing from a computer may point you in the right direction.
Like I said these are just thoughts.
Hey guys, printer has been sent to ESR so with a bit of luck they will find the fault, with the resourses they have I’m hoping they will isolate the problem and sort it
Was hoping to get it sorted, now having to hang tight to see what the result is

Please let us know what they found. I’m having exactly the same problem!
I recently had a similar problem too, it cames from the wires loom going from the printhead to the motherboard : they were broken inside !!! Not easy to find out but by repairing it I’ve discovered the wires are very fragile inside… As a solution I’ve made my own loom and now I’ve no stop problems at all anymore !
I had exactly the same problem. The printer was sharing a multi socket extension cord with my computer and other devices. I moved it to another room and plugged it directly into the AC wall socket. I haven’t had any resets since then. I’m not using a UPS or net filter.
