Print Stops and Repetier freezes

Hello,
It’s my first 3D printer. I’m unable to get past very few layers before my machine freezes up. I read the posts on the forum and believe it has to do with having the 3D View up. In my earlier attempts I watched the 3D View and after the third or fourth layer everything would stop. During the print I am seeing a two or three small scorch marks. This may be due to the extruder sitting too long in one place, or it may be slightly too low.

Not watching the 3D View I was able to get up to seven layers. Out of curiosity I clicked the 3D view, everything stopped again.

I’m attempting a print again just showing the temp curve. I wondered if there was a setting to have this report less as well. I would like to give as much processing power to the machine, and not to the reporting.

(update on the new print)
It was going okay, but stopped during the 70th layer. several layers are not in alignment either, as if the X and Y moved slightly too much for about 5 layers. I thought that perhaps the print slipped off the blue tape, but when the plate cooled it was stuck well.

You can see photos in the links below.

You can see where it stopped in the photo with the layer number on the part. At the top is supposed to be a hole for a reset button. It just sat there.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like your heatbed axes are heavily missing/skipping steps. Look for endstop hit messages in the repetier log.
This can make the printer hit the endstops during print if it shifts too far to the right or back of the printer.

Check if your belts are tight enough, but not too tight.
Check if your pulleys are properly fastened.
Set the stepper driver Voltage to 0.55V instead 0.425V.

cheers,

Christian

Thank you for your help.
I didn’t save the logs, so I am unsure how to check them.

I changed the voltage and also cut the speed down to 80%. I noticed when printing the board cover and it changed locations it was really jerky.

I did a small test print and except for the top where it melted a bit, the print came out fine. I suspect the melting is due to so many tiny layers without having the fan on.

Thanks again for your help. If things remain as is I think upping the voltage did wonders.
