Print freezes part way through print

I’m using a k8200 which has been printing ok for months. Today this has been happening:
[ul][li]part of the way through a print all movement stops (it’s at different stages of the print)[/li]
[li]the extruder and bed heater remain hot[/li]
[li]the temperature graphs stop moving[/li]
[li]the repetier log reads “1k”, “7k”, “9k”, or “k”[/li]
[li]I don’t get any other error message[/li]
[li]I have to unplug the power and usb cable to print again[/li][/ul]

I have recently added a 3mm glass mirror to the bed, and I’ve been experimenting with slower acceleration, speeds and flow rate in order to minimise wobble and threads from layer to layer.

Any ideas on what’s going wrong?

Thanks

Many things can cause this.

Some hints :

didn’t you

  • change the USB cable
  • plug your printer in an other outlet (especially one with a surge protection).

Also check the temperature of the board components and of your power supply. If something is overheating some protection mechanisms can switch on.

You could also try turning the Filament view off as well.
On one of my machines with it on the printer will pause and stop.

Hope this helps.
