Print asks for change fillament at start when this is not asked

Hey,

I’ve had already a couple of times that a print starts with saying change filament.
i had this with new files that i slice in vertex delta repetier v2.0.5
This also doesn’t happen when i do a reprint of the file

Any ideas ?

Hi,

Can you check the filament runout sensor light at the top of the printer? Is it burning when filament is inserted (if this is the case the internal switch is not fully depressed. You can disassemble the extruder to check if anything is blocking it.

Are you using Velleman Filament? Can you also check the diameter?

hey,

Had a print today where it already 3 times that it requested a change
i notice that the red led is not always burning when inserting fillament or when it comes out, is this normal?

I will disassemble it to see if there is anything blocked

hey, not all 1.75 filaments are the same which can cause the sensor to not detect the filament if your certain that you have enough filament you can disconnect the sensor as stated in the manual keep in mind the printer will keep printing without filament
