The PCGU1000 is optically isolated from the PC.
This is why the external power supply is needed.
Optical Isolation is a great news.
Can one connect a power supply to the unit which fulfills the EN 60601 norm so that the PCGU1000 can be used to apply frequencies to the human body?

You may replace it with the supply fulfilling the EN 60601 norm.
There is only basic insulation between the PCGU1000 and the PC. This insulation is mainly made to protect the PC in case if the output of the PCGU1000 is connected to a voltage.
Fine. So do you think if we replace the power supply by a EN 60601 device and also seperate the USB with a EN 60601 4kV isolator and put both devices together in an additional plastic box, the whole device could possibly fulfill the EN 60601 norms to apply frequencies to the human body via handelectrodes?
I mean just from the point of view of of electrical security.
Or do you see any other potential problem we have to solve?

Great. And good price also.
