For best results, make sure to use a ferrite core.
The power supply that came with my kit already has a ferrite core installed (moulded to the cable).
Is this one sufficient, should it be replaced by the one that came as a separate part or should these two be used in combination?
Oh, and would it be wise to keep the cable between power supply and controller board as short as possible, to reduce power loss by the cable’s resistance?
Would it be advisable to fix the power supply brick to the printer’s frame or does this cause EMI problems?
Have my power supply fixed to the frame behind the Z motor.
No problems printing with that.
Designed a support for it. You can find a post on it in the ‘your printer, creations…’ group of the forum.
Pictures and link to the design there.
Also use the attached filter and not the lose one.
No problems with the printing.
