[*] Hi! I have bought a VM140 card and thought it would be possible to install the drivers as normal from the supplied disc, but get error message “k8061 usb interface board - failed”. " interface Card" was possible to install though. And when connecting the USB cable before installation LED for LD10 (usb) does not shine. Result of the installation is that no programs or menus are installed on the computer associated with the card. However, can run test / demo of the card if I run exe-file/files directly from the supplied CD.
Are there drivers that are better suited for Vista somewhere or the card can not use the operating system (Win Vista) or the card is faulty?
The package includes new driver and new DLL.
There are example projects written in many programming languages included.
There is also manual K8061_DLL_manual.pdf included describing all the DLL functions
You have to remove the previous driver and install the new driver (v1.0.0.6) from this download package.
Please read the Getting_Started.pdf and the README.TXT.
This driver in the proposed zip-file seems to be the same as those I have installed earlier from the included CD. The mchpusb.sys file is changed/made with the same date and of version 1.0.0.6. The other suggested files seem to be the same as those I had from before also. Haven’t tried to installed the proposed zip-files because of this reason.
What do you think. The card is broken and needs replacing?
Or the contents of the files are different even though they have the same date, version number?
Maybe anyhow worth to try the new DLL (and maybe driver too) and the new demo from the zip package.
If still no success then you may have to return the card for check/repair.
