Possible of adding backlit to HPS10?

I have a HPS10 Scope which has no backlit facility. But by looking at the printed board the components for this backlit function are only omitted.
Would you have the knowledge to convert this scope to a blue or white backlit unit? By looking at, it needs the LED and resistor plus a shorting link.

The display (LCD panel) simply doesn’t have backlit facility. Only the HPS10SE.
