Finished my first soldering project the other day, a Velleman PMK190’1. It was really fun, but after connecting an audio source, speakers and a power source I found that the kit only produces sound through one speaker.
I have of course tested switching speakers to rule that out. I don’t really have great skills in things like this.
What could be wrong? Grateful for any help!
Check the input side as well.
Use a different MP3 player and a different cable (easier to start with the basics)
You might try re heating the solder joints until the solder starts to flow.
So not stay on the joint to long to avoid burning them.
One of the joints on D1 looks like it could use a little more solder (this will not fix the problem you have now but maybe a future problem)
Thank you! Have tried different inputs and cables on that end. Didn’t help unfortunately.
It looks like you may have a broken trace on the input section for the grounds.
Its hard to tell if you have a meter you should check it.
