I do not seem to have a chance getting the device working under Windows 7 nor Windows 8.1. I always end upon on both computers with “The unit will calibrate now 0%” with no progress beyond 0%. I have deleted the ini File, to no sucess.
I have unplugged and plugged the device over and over again. I do not have a dlportio in my (64bit) registry.
Any idea what to do or to try?
I had to go a long way to install the Windows 8 driver since it has no digital signature, however, I managed.
But still, the unit doesn’t work.
If the cause to the problem is that the USB port is not capable to deliver required current, a solution can be to use a self powered USB HUB.
Or - the PCSU200 may be defective.
You can do following test:
Replace the content of the PCSU200.ini with the following data.
Then run the PCLAB200 software.
Now the oscilloscope will not try to calibrate.

My power machine (computer) with Windows 8.1 and 500W Power Supply Unit will definitely deliver 0.5A on each of the USB Ports.
I replaced the data in the ini file with the data you provided. That did not make any difference.
As soon as I touch one of the controls the reply from Windows is “no response”. In other words, the surface is there but the software doesn’t run.
The unit was definitely working before on Windows 7 on my laptop approximately 6 months ago. Therefore, I don’t think it is defective.
But since then Microsoft has provided numerous updates to Windows 7 as well as Windows 8.1. I rather think the problem is there.
The PCSU200 should work OK on Windows 8.1 with all the updates using the driver versions 13.54.20.543 and 1.0.0.2.
In this case the symptoms were quite similar: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8573
I bought PCSU200 few days ago. It works OK on my three computers with Windows 7.
I tried also to install it on my laptop with Windows 8.1 (driver version 13.54.20.543).
I tried to update driver software in Device Manager (PCSU200 Oscilloscope/Function Generator), but no effect. every time I get the message:
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
Please help, how can I solve this problem?
