We have bought this product because we would like to use it as an oscilloscope to show the pupils the waves from a microphone. How do you do that? Is it even possible?
We also would like to let them listen to sounds with different frequency. How do you do that? How do you connect the loudspeaker.
We thought PCSGU250 should give us the chance to use our Smart Board, but we haven’t been able to that. Is it possible or have we just spent our money on a product we can’t use?

Is it even possible?[/quote]Using a dynamic microphone you can get enough signal to view the waveform on the oscilloscope screen. In the oscilloscope select the 10mV/div range and set the probe switch to position x1.

You need to use an external amplifier.
Put the BNC to RCA adaptor to the generator output and use a RCA cable to connect the signal to the amplifier input.
An alternative solution is to use computer speakers. They have internal amplifier.

We haven’t tried it on the Smart Board yet, because we didn’t know how to show the waves from a microphone or hear the sounds. Thanks for your answer, we will buy a new microphone and try with computer speakers. Hope it will work.
