PCSGU250 DOA
Windows 7 x64 bit with lots of (available) resources.
Driver installed and is OK.
Finds and connects to PCSGU250 when the USB cable plugged in.
No Power/READY indicator light
Stalls at 0% complete when attempt to calibrate
I think you have downloaded and installed the latest software and the driver from:

Most probably the problem is this:
The current consumption of the PCSGU250 is too high for your PC’s USB output.
The solution may be to use a USB HUB with external power adapter.
The current consumption of the PCSGU250 increases to about 400mA after the firmware is uploaded to the PCSGU250.
- You see on the screen “Loading, please wait…” when the firmware is uploaded.

In this thread there seems to be a software solution to enhance the power feed from the USB ports: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8079
A complete shut down and reStart solved the problem.
.
Does the PCSGU250 still draw ~ 400 mAmps if the frequency generator isn’t running?
If not, how much does it draw?
Does the PCSGU250 still draw ~ 400 mAmps if the frequency generator isn’t running?
There is only minimal current consumption decrease if the frequency generator is off.
If the generator is overloaded (e.g. its output short circuited) the USB current ingreases to about 500mA.
