Bought a PCSGU250 for a while ago (2008) but haven’t used it at all. Now was the time, I thought, and installed it on my stationary Win7 64-machine.
The installation went smooth, except that when I connected the scope to the USB-port nothing much happened. Or, to be more precise, this is what
happens: a popup window informs me that the drivers are not installed and none are found.
I dowloaded the latest drivers from Velleman, but are unable to install them. When I check the folder with Units and Printers I find that the scope is
visible in a section labeled “Unspecified” accompanied by a yellow exclamation mark. Left clicking the scope icon results in a dialog box appearing with
the normal info about Properties… It also mentions the unit’s status: "Drivers not installed (code 28). All buttons that would allow you to manually force
an driver update are shaded and unavailable.
Any idea, someone? I have several USB-ports on my machine, a couple of them in “the ass-end” of the chassi, and two on the front. I am using one
of the front end ones (the other are hard to reach…) Could that be the problem, or is it something more sinister?
Wow! Thanks man, it worked like a charm. Installed without any visible hitch! When I told the program to activate the scope a blue light came on…
Hopefully it works alright, do not have time right now to find out, but I will.
There are a lot of updates. Please read the readme.txt.
