I own a PCS500 and would like to use it as a spectrum analyzer. The built in spectrum analyzer has a very low resolution due to the roughly 4000 points used in the FFT. Is it possible to create a data file when the PCS500 is set in the 2GHz mode and export a large number of data points that can be evaluated in Matlab?

Any advice will be appreciated.

I’m sorry to say, but also in the 1GS/s mode the data file length is 4096 samples/channel.

Is there any way that one can have a larger file? I think it will be useful and not too difficult to get.
