PCS10 connections

Hello to everybody. I have just bought a PCS10 unit for recording some measures of voltage and current consumption.

SInce I am not an electronic engineer, how can I use the PCS10 to measure a DC current without putting a resistor in series to the power supply and looking at the voltage drop on this resistor?

Thank you to everybody for the help.

Stefano

You will allways need a series resistor to measure current.
The only other way is to have a pic-up coil that measures the field strenght produced due to the current, but this is a completely different story.

Please note that the inputs of the PCS10 are not isolated and all the grounds of the four inputs are directly connected together and connected to the ground of your PC.

Do not connect these ground leads to different potentials!
