PCS10 4 Channel Signal Recorder ( K8047 ) - MakerPlot

Is it possible to control the PCS10 using MakerPlot software?

Has anyone had experience combining these?

What extra program or code do I need to run to get Makerplot to recognize the PCS10 and how do I do that?

I have been using the PCS10 with the supplied software for practical displays in the classroom with a projector and screen.
For basic things it’s ok but it could be a whole lot better ; if the real time graph was larger, if there were more scaling options, if you could display analog meters and alarms at the same time as the graph.

Makerplot seems to be able to do all the required extras if only I can get it to talk with the PCS10.
Is there any other software around the $40 US that will talk to the PCS10?

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

I could repair the velleman 4-channel recorder
It was not reconized in Windows8 system
Changing the chips on the board did not help

I added additional a 6 pf Condensator parallel to the Quartz w. 33pf-Condensator
Now the Windows8-System saw the board; but the LAB2000SE -> PCS10 did not reconize the Recorder

I added a 15 pf-Condensator parallel to the Quartz w. 33pf and everything was runnig a normal.
It also worked with 2x15 pf additional but not with 100 pf parallel to the Quartz

Bonjour,

About the PCS10:

  • There are four DC-coupled input channels.
  • The ground inputs of all the channels are interconnected.
  • So you can’t measure “floating” voltages e.g. each cell voltage of a battery simultaneously.
  • Only one PCS10 can be connected to the same PC.
