I installed PcLab2000SE on a windows 8.1 64-bit laptop. PCSU1000 driver is working fine, thanks to the installation instructions on this forum.
When I start PcLab i get a error message “error in opening created key” and “No hardware response” and it starts only in demo mode.
The oscilloscope may be defective.
Is it working with other PC?
If yes, then this may be a driver issue.
You can try the following solution:
Remove the PCSU1000 driver.
Also select the check box “Delete the driver software for this device”.
Then unplug and plug the PCSU1000 and install the driver.
Please make sure the driver version installed is 2.04.16.
The driver signature enforcement has to be disabled again to install the driver: howtogeek.com/167723/how-to- … d-drivers/
The driver was the latest, I reinstalled it with no success with PcLab200.
I installed the driver and PcLab2000 in my son’s 64-bit Win 7 laptop without any problems, the oscilloscope is OK.
No luck with usb-hub with power supply.
I’m not sure if it is relevant, but in demo mode I’ll go to “Options/Hardware Setup” and choose “PCSU1000”, I will get error “Could not open DriverLINX. Please run INSTALL_DRV.EXE to install driver.”
This message “Could not open DriverLINX…” is for the default function generator, LPT port connected PCG10.
You can avoid this message by selecting PCSU1000 and PCGU1000 on the startup screen.
As an alternative solution you can run the PCSU1000GU.exe in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Velleman\PCLab2000SE
First run PCSU1000.exe it goes to the demo mode. Then choose Options/Hardware Setup ->PCSU1000 and it starts in normal mode.
After first start with PCSU1000.exe, PcLab2000 starts normally from Windows.
Strange problem indeed.
Is there any difference if run run the PCSU1000GU.exe in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Velleman\PCLab2000SE or the PcLab2000SE?
If I just exit the program, I can start it either way. If I put the laptop on sleep, I can only start with PCSU1000GU.exe after reconecting the USB couplof times.
