PCGU1000 no connection by USB

we (SK Latronics Laser GmbH) bought a PCGU1000 function generator.

driver and software are sucessfully installed. The driver is listed in the windows control panel / device manager. But the software can not connect to the PCGU1000. The USB symbol stays grew.
The power cable gives 9 VDC to the device…but I wonder whether the red LED in front of the device (ON / Ready) is not illuminated. What might be the problem ?

What kind of OS are you using (eg Windows,Mac,Linux)

…Now it works. I downloaded new driver and software from the vellemann Web site.

Driver and / or software version on the CD were an older version.
